If I’m being honest, I’m really not feeling my best this afternoon. So I’m sitting here watching I am a Killer on netflix and waiting for my mum to bring me home some hot chips because I’m in need of a bit of comfort food.
I took these photos the other day using self timer because neither of my little sisters who I usually rope in to help me were at home, so they’re definitely not as nice as some of the photos I’ve used in past blog posts. I think it was tuesday when I took these, and it was such a hot day, but today the weather has turned and it’s lovely and rainy, so I’m sitting here writing this in a comfy jumper.
I’ve gone off on a little bit of a tangent there, but what I really wanted to talk about in this post was this slip dress, and what is one of my staple styles for the hot weather we’ve been getting lately. I got this dress off Princess Polly a couple of months ago it would’ve been, and it’s not available anymore, but there are so many on the market right now that are so similar. I already owned a few strappy little dresses like this in a mini length, but I’ve become more and more interested in midi length dresses and skirts over the last few months to a year, so I thought I’d give the midi a go.
I’ve been having a leopard print moment for well over a moment now, so naturally this dress had to be in that print. I love wearing it with my Poppy Lissiman bag, I think there’s something really cool about the contrast of wearing a dress that’s so slinky with such a chunky and studded strap across it. I stupidly didn’t take any photos styled with that bag (which is still my absolute favourite thing), but I wore it out to a friends birthday dinner last friday night like that and I loved it.
