I honestly think I’d have to be one of the worst bloggers (if you can even call me that) that this world has on offer, I’ve been so all over the place lately so I just have hardly had any spare time to think about writing/posting. I turned 21 on the 1st of April, and I have a post coming soon with all the film from on and around the time of my bday soon. But I feel like April has been so busy for me already, and it’s not even half way through the month. I have so much on this month compared to normal, and on top of that I’ve been sick too lately which honestly, I really don’t appreciate.
Enough of my ramblimg, I thought today I’d try and get myself back into the swing of things by just writing up a little post about a couple of new things I bought myself this weekend, and a pair of old boots which I fished out of my cupboard after kind of forgetting all about them.
If you know me or have read my blog for a while, you’ll know that I’m such a huge fan of vintage clothing and I always have been. I always found quality vintage so hard to find in Canberra, or wherever there were good pieces, they just weren’t my style. However, since last year we have Lost Vintage in Braddon, and it’s like a little slice of my vintage heaven. I don’t get out there nearly as much as I’d like to, but every time I do I seem to find something I love. In particular, their range of printed tees is just so so good. Overall they just have such a good selection of different pieces, and because it’s a small space, the amount of stock to go through is nowhere near as overwhelming as a lot of second hand shopping can be. I was so drawn to the colours and super 90’s feel on this t-shirt, and I love how big and over sized it is on me.
I saw these pants in Zara almost 2 weeks ago and I just couldn’t stop thinking about them, which I thought was a pretty good sign that I should definitely buy them. They’re very different for me, these days I’m so much more into straight leg style pants, but I’ve seen pairs of pants like this around on a few influencers that really inspire me and I wanted to try them out. I’d definitely prefer them to be longer on me than they are, but obviously that is something that’s always going to be a bit of a struggle for me so I just have to make do.
Lastly these boots, which are not new by any means, and are one of those pieces that you kind of forget you own, but when you rediscover them you remember how good they are. I bought these last winter from Kmart because I loved the look of them, and because they were so cheap I thought they’d be perfect for wearing whenever I go out, because if they get completely trashed it’s not a big deal. I just kind of went off them after a while, but I’m sure I’ll start throwing them on so much more often now I’ve remembered how much I initially liked them.
