On the 5th of May I was lucky enough to attend the Models 101 Workshop, run by the wonderful Jordan Martin and Tina Nikolovski. I was approached via email by Jordan, and in all honesty if I hadn’t been I’m not sure if I would’ve taken the plunge and done it, but I’m so glad that I did. I’ve done some modelling bits and pieces over the last few years, but I really don’t consider myself a ‘model’, so doing a workshop that’s marketed towards aspiring/developing models wasn’t really something that was on my radar. I think it goes without saying really that I can’t give away a lot of the work that we did throughout the day, but I can say that I 100% don’t regret spending the money on this experience one bit.
Like I said, I’ve done a bit of modelling in the past, but all of the work I’d done had been runway based stuff, but I’d never done a proper photo shoot before. What I loved about this workshop was that it was a really great mix of runway and photo shoot training. The insight of the industry that these two ladies have is incredible, and they way that they encourage you throughout the whole experience is so inspiring.
At the end of the day everyone got to do a one on one shoot with Tina, straight after being mentored (again in a one on one session) by Jordan, and I wanted to share some of my favourite behind the scenes photos from the shoot, as well as the final image from Tina.
